Must-haves for Fall

While some may be upset that it is getting colder, the fall brings a whole new excitement about fashion. When you first think about what to buy or what you are going to wear, remember to focus on a few essentials that should be in your closet.

-classic trench coat (can be worn in any weather or occasion)
-suede boot (perfect with most outfits like skirts, dresses, and even over skinny jeans. If it has at least a little heel it can be worn in any occasion).
-fitted jacket that can be worn with any outfit. (Fitted also means that it should fit to your particular body shape.)
-leather hand bag
-sheath dress (can be worn to work and out on the town)
-Splurge on a nice pair of jeans that are perfect for your body
-pear shape: wide-leg, or flared jeans
-apple shape: bootcut, or flared jeans
-hourglass shape: wide-leg or flared jeans
-rectangular shape: straight-legged jeans

Can you recommend a few 'not too expensive' places that I may find the perfect trench coat and fitted jacket.

Also, I've been noticing leately women wearing fitted blazers with a white T and baggy jeans..what do you think about that look ;)

In terms of finding not too expensive places for trench coats and fitted jackets, Bloomingdales and Macys has some good options. Banana Republic has a great classic trench coat and Nordstrom tends to have good sales with great options!

Referring to the look you are talking about I think there are many other flattering ways to get this "trendy without trying" look.

That look can work for some people but each piece may not be flattering for some people. Baggy pants can make people look bigger than they are. On the other hand, this look can work. If you really want to do it...dark wide legged jeans can work with a plain T and fitted jacket. Just make sure to work with your own body type, not someone else's who is wearing that look.
